His lips captured hers in a soul-searing kiss, his tongue playing with hers. When he pulled back he smiled. “Come, pet.”

Her scream bounced off the walls in the bathroom as the pleasure ran through her like water. Wave after wave shook her until she was limp in his arms, vaguely recalling his climax. He’d thrust hard inside her and groaned her name, his breath hot in her ear. His hot seed jetted inside her cunt, bathing her inside with his heat.

They were both wrung out when he carefully set her feet on the floor, holding her up until she could stand on her own. He kissed her lips softly.

“See? We still have so much to discover about each other. This will never be over, blondie. We’ll be doing this when I’m too old and decrepit to hold you up in the shower.”

He unhooked her restraints and massaged her wrists. As soon as her hands were free, she pulled him close, pressing her cheek to his chest so she could hear his heart.

“Then we’ll just have to have sex in the bathtub.”

He tapped her head. “That’s what I love about you, blondie. Always thinking. You know what I’m thinking?”

She looked up at him, her eyes widening as she realized his intent. He wrapped a towel around her and swung her up in his arms, heading for their bed.

  “That’s right. Round two.”

  Chapter Five

Lisa looked about as thrilled as he felt. They were walking up the steps to his parents’ home in Sarasota. Conor fidgeted with his tie. His father was a stickler for details. Jim Hart would notice a microscopic piece of lint on Conor’s suit at twenty paces. He wondered for the thousandth time why they’d agreed to come to Saturday brunch. A few hours with his father was always trying, and he was sure today would be no exception.

“Tell me again why we’re doing this.”

Lisa rolled her eyes and fussed with his tie. “Because your mother asked us. She’s a wonderful woman and loves to see the kids as much as possible.”

He looked over his three children, all dressed in their Sunday best, even though it was only Saturday. Leave it to his father to think a casual brunch called for suits, ties, and dresses. His mother was the only person in the world who had ever managed to deal with his father. She was a saint. For real.

“Let’s just get through this so we can have some fun tonight. Are you looking forward to going to The Estate?”

He kept his voice down so the kids wouldn’t hear, but they weren’t paying any attention anyway. Tyler was staring at his iPad, Emily was looking bored, and Ethan had his nose in his Nintendo DS. He’d always thought he wanted his children to have everything, but maybe Lisa was right. Perhaps they’d given them too many things, and not enough them. It made him wonder about his own childhood. There had always been material things in his life, but often time from his father had been lacking. Luckily, Conor’s mother had always tried to make up for it.

She licked her lips in a way that made his cock jump in his pants. Man, she made him feel like a horny teenager. He’d been trying hard to bring a new dynamic to their relationship. It hadn’t been easy. They’d been Master and slave for many years.

“I am. It’s sweet of your mom to have the kids overnight. Especially when she’s going to have Nate and Brianne’s kids, too. It looks like they’re already here.”

  “My mom is a saint.”

Lisa pressed the doorbell and giggled. “Saint Elizabeth Hart.” She laid her hand on his arm. “Everything will be fine. It’s going to be a fine day. Just keep smiling at your dad. Don’t let him get to you.”

His mother opened the door with a huge smile. “Why did you ring the doorbell? Heavens, you used to live here.”

Conor leaned down to kiss his mother’s finely lined cheek. She was still a lovely woman even at sixty-five, but she had always seemed delicate to him. “You know Father doesn’t like people barging in, Mom.”

His mother snorted. “Your father doesn’t like anything. Never has, never will. Personally, I just humor him. I suggest you do the same.”

Conor had another plan. He was planning to avoid his father if at all possible. The kids ran off to play with their cousins and get their clothes filthy, and Conor took a hard left straight to the bar. He came to an abrupt halt when he saw the man he was trying to avoid talking to Nate. His father looked up and waved him over.

“Don’t just stand there, Conor. What do you want to drink?”

“Scotch on the rocks.” Today was not the day for sobriety. He needed a good stiff drink to hold back the steamroller that was his father.

Nate gave him a sympathetic look. As the oldest son, Conor had taken the brunt of his father’s abrasive personality. He’d been easier on Nate, although still not a teddy bear.

Nate handed him his drink, and Conor took a gulp, feeling the burn in his gut as it slid down. His father scowled.

“You’re supposed to sip it, not gulp it. Do you ever listen to anything I say? Tell me about your latest case. You know the one I’m talking about.”

He assumed his father was talking about the politician he was representing. His father had been a corporate attorney before a heart condition forced him to retire. He loved to talk shop. Conor, on the other hand, was trying to learn to leave the office at the office. If he didn’t he was going to lose his wife and kids, which was something he couldn’t allow to happen. Besides, if he talked about the case, his dad would spend the rest of the afternoon telling him how he should handle it despite the fact he’d never been a criminal attorney.

Conor leaned against the bar and tried to relax under the hard stare of his father. He wasn’t going to let his father push him around today. Honestly, he was just fucking over it and he damn sure wasn’t in the mood. “It’s going fine. It’s my day off. I don’t think anyone wants to hear about this case.”

His father looked less than happy. He wasn’t used to Conor thwarting him. “I want to hear about it. Who cares what anyone else wants?”

“Jim!” His mother, Lisa, and Brianne had joined them in the family room. “What a terrible thing to say. Conor works hard all week. He needs some downtime away from the office. We’re supposed to be having family time.”

“Can I get you ladies a drink? Some wine, perhaps?” Nate tried to lighten the atmosphere. Jim Hart was fuming.

“I wouldn’t mind a glass of wine,” Brianne said. “Me, too,” Lisa chimed in.

Conor never saw it coming. He’d assumed his father would turn on him.

“You never turn down a glass of wine, Lisa,” his father grated. “Shouldn’t you be watching the children like a good wife?”

Lisa did exactly as she’d told him to do. She smiled steadily, accepting the glass graciously from Nate before answering. “The kids are fine, Dad, and I am a good wife.”

“Does a good wife throw her husband out of the house? Yes, I heard about that, young lady.”

His mother looked pissed, something Conor didn’t see very often. “James Christopher Hart, I told you that in confidence! I can’t believe you had the nerve to talk about that! It’s none of our business.”

“It most certainly is my business. My son has done nothing but support his family in the lap of luxury. Then this one gets too high and mighty and throws him out. Like she could take care of the kids by herself? She’s never done a day’s work in her life.”

Apparently, Lisa had talked to his mom about the issues they were having. Of course, she wouldn’t have told them everything since they didn’t know anything about their D/s lifestyle.

Lisa’s lips weren’t smiling any longer. They were pressed together so tightly, they looked white. Her eyes were bright with unshed tears, and suddenly Conor had fucking had enough. His father had victimized people for far too long.

“Stop it, Dad. Fucking stop it. I will not allow you to speak to my wife that way. Lisa supported me when I was in law school, as you very well know. She’s taken great care of our home and kids. She works tirelessly to take care of every detail so all I have to do is work at
the firm. And she most certainly could take care of herself and the kids. She’s on the verge of becoming a famous sculptor. So shut up and leave her alone.”

His father’s face went bright red. “How dare you speak to me that way in my own home?”

He got into his father’s personal space, tired of being manipulated. “We were invited into this home and then abused. Don’t ever speak to Lisa that way. Ever. You’re not mad at her anyway, you’re mad at me. Be man enough to confront me, don’t go after her because you know she won’t defend herself.”

Lisa had never defended herself, always saying that being nice to his father was more important than any momentary discomfort she might have.

His father looked like a drowning man, gasping for air. “Get out! Get out of my home or do as I say!”

Conor nodded. “Then we’re out of here. I’m almost forty years old, Dad. I stopped doing what you wanted me to a long time ago.” He turned to leave, putting his arm around his wife, who was looking at him strangely, but his mother intervened.

“Stop this right now! Jim, shut up! Your son is right. You’re being an ass. Apologize to Lisa at once!”

“I don’t have anything to apologize for.” His dad had a mutinous expression on his face. He looked ready to dig his heels in for battle.

Conor knew it was far past time to take a stand. His father’s behavior had become increasingly worse over the years because they’d allowed it to happen. “Yes, you do, and yes, you will. Don’t make me choose between you and Mom, and my wife. It’s not even a decision. Lisa wins by a mile. You’ve hurt her and she doesn’t deserve it. Apologize so we can all sit down and eat and pretend we’re a civilized family.”

It was a showdown between them, and Conor wasn’t sure where to put his money. He’d never spoken to his father that way, but then his dad had been in a particularly nasty mood these last months since he retired. Everyone had had more than enough.

Finally, his father cracked, his shoulders slumping, his face gray. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Lisa.”

“It’s okay, Dad,” Lisa said, her voice soft.

Conor couldn’t let it go. “It’s not okay. It’s not okay for him to treat you this way when he’s mad. He is not allowed to speak to you again like that. He shouldn’t speak to anyone that way.”

“Why don’t we fill the kids’ plates?” His mother tried to break the tension. It was going to be a miserable meal if the pre-dinner drinks were any indication.

Conor pulled Lisa close and led her into the kitchen. “Great idea, Mom. I’m starved.”

Lisa was looking up at him like she’d never seen him before. He squeezed her shoulders. “I told you we had more to discover about each other.”

Her eyes were wide with amazement, then delight. “You can still surprise me, Conan.”

Conor felt the shock ripple through him. She hadn’t called him “Conan” since they were first married. She’d nicknamed him that after they’d rented the movie one night and Conor had started to do Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions. “You called me ‘Conan.’”

A hand flew to her mouth. “Did I? It just slipped out. You keep reminding me of that swashbuckling boy I fell in love with. The one who wasn’t afraid of anything and wanted to live life on his terms.”

Conor was starting to feel like that boy. He liked it.

  * * * *

The drive to The Estate was quiet, but not like the stilted, tense silence at his parents’ home. It was a comfortable silence, and Conor was relaxing and anticipating a pleasurable night with his sexy slave. He’d even dressed her in an outfit reminiscent of the female lead in the Conan the Barbarian movie. Her halter-necked, black leather dress was tight, low cut with a leather thong tied to hold the bodice together, and split high on the thighs showing off her spectacular legs. The dress in the movie had been brown, but this was close enough. It was only going to land in a heap on the floor within the hour anyway.

She put her warm hand on his thigh. “Thank you.”

He grinned, arousal starting to sizzle inside him. “For dressing you like Valeria in the Conan movie? You’re very welcome and the pleasure is mine.”

She shook her head. “No, for standing up for me when we were at your parents. You didn’t have to. I know you like avoiding confrontation with your father.”

Arousal turned to irritation in a second. “Of course I had to. Dammit, Dad’s getting worse every time we go over there. He’s always been an arrogant SOB, but since he’s retired he’s lost any social skills he had. There is no way I’d let him talk to you like that, blondie. I’ll see him in hell first.”

She stared out the window. “He’s been cold to me before. He likes Brianne better.”

Conor felt the shame twist in his gut. His father liked Brianne because he liked Nate better. Lisa had been paying for his father’s frustration with him for twenty years. “I’m sorry I didn’t defend you before. I should have, and I’m going to have to come to terms with the fact that I enabled my father to hurt you in the past. The least I can do is make sure he doesn’t do it in the future.”

She had a sad smile on her face. “This was the first time he’s really gone after me like he’s gone after you. You have defended me in the past, but I know you pick your battles with him and for good reason. He doesn’t have the power to hurt me. I only hurt when you do. He makes you jump through flaming hoops to try and win his approval. You don’t need his approval, Conor. You’re a better man than he is. You love all your children equally.”

He placed his hand on top of hers. “You and the kids are my family. If he continues this behavior we won’t go over there anymore. If Mom wants to see the kids, she can come over to our house. Alone. I’ve had it with him, and I’ve had it trying to win his favor. You’re right, I don’t need his approval. The only person’s opinion I care about is you.”

She laced her fingers with his. “Then you’re in luck. I think you’re wonderful. Amazing. I’m very proud of you”—she leaned closer with a playful smile—”Conan.”

“This barbarian has conquering on his mind. I’m expecting an obedient slave girl tonight. What are the chances of getting one?”

She peeked up at him through her lashes, and he felt the arousal surge through him again. She looked so sexy tonight, he couldn’t wait to get her lashed to the stocks.

“I think your chances are good. Very good in fact, Master Conan.”

Conor chuckled. “I like that. You can call me that tonight, pet.”

  * * * *

Her husband was full of surprises lately. First, he’d told his father off, then he’d dug out this old outfit from the back of the closet. He’d wanted her to look like a character from Conan the Barbarian. Her husband could be a total goof sometimes. He’d even eschewed his usual suit and tie tonight for a set of leathers, slim black leather pants, heavy black boots, and a black leather vest. He looked scorchingly hot, taking her breath away when she’d first seen him. He hadn’t worn leather in years, saying he was too old to be dressed that way. If anything, his body was even better, more mature, more filled out. His shoulders were wider, his stomach more firm from years of serious exercise.

He’d been serious about reminding her of why she’d fallen in love with him. He was showing more and more glimpses of that young man every day. It made her heart ache to see him become happier as he discovered things long buried inside of him. He was also showing her he had layers she still had yet to discover. She knew they still had a ways to go, but the night she’d thrown his clothes on the front porch seemed very far away. She couldn’t allow doubt to creep in now when things were looking up.

He tugged on her leash and led her deep into the main house of The Estate. Loud music with a heavy beat played in the background, the air heavy with the smell of leather and sex. She’s already been aroused as they’d driven here, but now her body was in overdrive. It was well aware of the pleasure her Master was going to bring her tonight. She promised herself she’d try and actuall
y behave for him tonight, instead of being bratty. He’d had a rough day and didn’t need to deal with her misbehavior tonight.

From the direction he was heading, it was clear what his destination was. He was going to use the stocks. The stocks were set up on a small stage at the corner of the largest playroom. They attracted a great deal of attention as many said they looked medieval, which of course they actually were. Tonight the area was illuminated by dozens of candles placed all around the small stage, giving it an even more menacing air. She shivered as a spark of anticipation ran up her spine and honey began to leak from her pussy.

He stopped, setting the bag down and unclipping her leash. Conor pointed to the floor and she dropped to her knees. She knew the drill, they’d been doing this for almost twenty years. It had changed some as the years went by, but the spirit was always the same. She placed her hands behind her back, slid her knees wide apart, and placed her forehead on his leather boots.

“Master, may I please serve you? I beg to be used in any way you see fit.”

“Does this slave seek her own pleasure? Is that why she begs?”

She didn’t break the pose, staying as still as possible. “I seek no pleasure for myself, Master. Only your pleasure has any meaning. Only your pleasure pleases me.”

“Kiss my feet then stand at attention, pet. I’m going to grant your plea to be used by me tonight.”

She dropped a kiss on each of his boots then rose to her feet, legs apart, hands behind her back, eyes down. He circled her, taking in every detail of her appearance. The appearance he had chosen for the evening.

He tugged at the leather thong holding her bodice together and the bow untied, leaving the two sides gaping and her breasts partially exposed. His warm hand caressed her skin and raised goose bumps. He chuckled at her reaction.
